Normally, I'd make a prettier announcement, but in this case it's *quick* not *pretty*. First meeting is very soon.
Summary --
1. St Luke's empty lot is becoming a Community Garden with special emphasis on (truly sustainable) biointensive gardening.
2. Kick-off meeting Saturday. 10:00. St Luke's
3. Please attend (or contact me) if you:
- are interested in a 100 square foot plot
- are interested in assisting this project in any way (sweat, brains, community building, dirt digging, seeds, tools...)
- have any suggestions for anyone or anyorganization [I just coined a word..] who/that should be involved
Thanks,
Michael

You are all probably familiar with John Jeavons truly sustainable approach to gardening and mini-farming. We will be showing in segments an hour and thirty minute video on the 8 components to Grow Biointensive and then discussing and expanding on it. Our hope is that some will want to try to varying degrees this approach in our community plot or their home gardens.

He's worked with the church to get enthusiastic support from congregants and leadership. They all want this to be a *COMMUNITY* project with community members, not just a church project. In addition to providing 10x10 plots for folks to rent, Gary will also be leading a series of classes on biointensive gardening.
