<div>A word about the Grow Biointensive course I will be teaching/leading Mon eve, 2/28 (7-9 PM) & Sat morning, 3/5 from 9 - 12 (with plots assigned to all starting at 12 noon). You are all probably familiar with John Jeavons <u>truly sustainable</u> approach to gardening and mini-farming. We will be showing in segments an hour and thirty minute video on the 8 components to Grow Biointensive and then discussing and expanding on it. Our hope is that some will want to try to varying degrees this approach in our community plot or their home gardens.</div>

<br><br><br>SB folks,<br><br>Brief background.... Gary has been instrumental in getting the St Luke's vacant lot on 58th to become a community garden. We tilled it back in October, removed rocks, and planted a cover crop. He's worked with the church to get enthusiastic support from congregants and leadership. They all want this to be a *COMMUNITY* project with community members, not just a church project. In addition to providing 10x10 plots for folks to rent, Gary will also be leading a series of classes on biointensive gardening.<br>
<br>I think that SB could be a great partner to get folks interested, involved, and contributing. Here's what comes to mind for me to do. Can you think of others?<br> - announcement on bi-weekly announcement to members<br>
