Find out about Urban Crop Circles by visiting our wiki.
This discussion list is provided for Ballard (and Seattle) neighbors who are participating in Sustainable Ballard groups to exchange information on specific group activities and projects.
When subscribers send messages to the list, by e-mailing urbancropcircle@sustainableballard.org or by replying to a message sent to the list, all people who are subscribed to the list will receive it.
There are a few simple rules of usage to help keep discussion lists productive.
- Before posting to the list, think about whether you could use the wiki instead. Documents that are written in Word and sent as attachments could often better be posted to the wiki, where everyone can always see the latest version, and cooperatively make changes. Even discussions can sometimes be held more fruitfully on the wiki. Then, if you want to alert others that there is new and relevant content on the wiki, just send a link on the list.
- Please stay on topic. These lists are exclusively for the purpose of organizing SB group activities and sharing RELEVANT information.
- Please use good judgment in posting news articles (i.e., stay on topic).
- Keep in mind that the archives for this list are public, so anything you say here can be read by anyone, even non-members. The archives are here.
- Please use care when sending large files. Large files can clog up the e-mail of users with dial-up or slow access to the Internet. Use links whenever possible to share large files, rather than e-mailing them to the list. Better yet, use the wiki to create documents, or upload files to the wiki.
- No disrespectful remarks regarding race, nationality, religion, class, gender, or sexual orientation, or other defamatory or inflammatory language. If you have a dispute with an individual, take it outside the discussion list. "Flaming" will NOT be tolerated.
- These lists are monitored, and persons not following these guidelines risk losing the privilege to participate in the discussion list.
This discussion list is for the SB group which focuses on Urban Crop Circles.
Working Mission Statement:
Sustainable Ballard fosters new awareness of the importance of community connections and meaningful sustainability in response to excess energy dependence and consumption, and the depletion of key resources. Sustainable Ballard conducts workshops, public events, writes reports and research articles, and provides design and planning services, for community education. Sustainable Ballard seeks to empower local citizens to become leaders in collective community self-reliance and autonomy.
Thanks for joining your neighbors in creating a sustainable Ballard!
