Hi UCC'ers,
Just perusing the Elliott Bay bookstore speaker schedule, and this one
caught my eye. I can't make it that night but I want to read this book!
Also: if anyone wants some coffee grounds for the garden, I have more than I
need - send me an email or call me at 206-605-5910.
See you Monday,
Julia

Farmer, co-founder of the organic Farm and Garden Program at the renowned
Green Gulch Farm Zen Center, beloved teacher of Buddhist meditation, and
adviser to the Edible Schoolyard Program of the Chez Panisse Foundation,
are just a few things to know about Wendy Johnson, whose life and work were
recently profiled in the New York Times. It would be an understatement to
say that her visit here with her first book, Gardening at the Dragon's Gate:
At Work in the Wild and Cultivated World (Bantam), is highly anticipated.
Shake the dirt off your gardening gloves - rain or shine - and be here.
Don't miss this. "A glorious book ... deep philosophy with dirt beneath its
fingernails." - Bill McKibben.
