Gardners please note the invitation to come visit the Nickelsville garden.
What I observed last week was that they need FLOWERS!
They are doing well with veggie starts but some color is needed and flowers
would be great.

Subject: [Nickelsville] Nickelsville's Updates: Pancakes and Unity

Dear Friends, Allies and Supporters.

Greetings from the Nickelodeons.

As you might be aware, we have been struggling financially and have
been actively fundraising.
Our latest fundraiser, a car wash generously hosted by our neighbors
at the 7/11 was a success. We want to thank them for letting us use
their parking lot and their water and also thank all those who showed
up, got their car washed and then donated to our camp.

We will be holding another pancake breakfast fundraiser this coming
Saturday June 19 from 8am to 11 am at the Keystone Congregational
Church.
The address is 5019 Keystone Place, North corner of 50th and Keystone.
Donations are needed and deeply appreciated. We hope to see you there.

We also would like to inform you that Nickelsville was invited to
participate as a panelist to the Seattle Unity Forum Saturday Jun 26
between 10am and 2pm. This is a great opportunity for us to make
friends across the board with other groups concerned with social
justice, people of color, and the environment such as our friends
from Real Change.
Mayor McGinn will be at the Forum to speak and more importantly
listen. It’s never too late to thank him for meeting with us and
encourage him to keep up the good work.
The Seattle United Forum is being held at Seattle University in the
School of Law. That’s at 901 12th Avenue on their campus, starting at
10 AM. Check it out if you can!

You are also always welcome at camp. Until we move to the permanent
site on August 5th, we are in Skyway, at Martin Luther King Jr Way and
South 129th (the METRO #101 Bus.) There are over 80 humans at camp,
with around 10 dogs and cats. Come check out the start of our
gardening project (with help from our Ballard Friends) and the ‘any
day now’ completion of the Cycletron.

Once again, thank you for your ongoing friendship and support
