Hi there,

Thanks for the email updates.
Since I won't be able to join y'all Monday, I'd like to throw out a question.
The battle has begun.
The gophers have finally found my garden and I'm gonna try and hold out with my method of tilling and planting rows before giving in and building fancy, expensive garden boxes. 
I won't use gopher bait. The stuff is scary and illegal to use near food anyway. The organic blood meal and cayenne mix might be good for the garden but California pocket gopher at least don't seem the least disturbed by it.
So, I'm smoking them with gunpowder-the gopher bombs you buy at the store-since the gas is toxic but the ingredients, sodium nitrate, sulfur and charcoal are all fine once burnt as far as I know.

Any other thoughts or suggestions?
