Hello fellow crop circlers,
The first Mon is Labor Day,so we have rescheduled our meeting for Sept 
8th at my house, 8712 28th NW at 6:00pm.
We'll be outside if weather allows, otherwise inside (in the cozy 
birthplace of UCC!)
September is Eat Local Challenge month at Sustainable Ballard when many 
of us are pledging to eat food from within 150 miles or so of Ballard (

What could be more local than food from our own gardens? In the spirit 
of this, Rhonda and I thought it would be fun at our Sept gathering to 
have a potluck of foods created from our own gardens. Rather than 
having a presenter, perhaps we can spend some time sharing successes, 
challenges and the harvest of our gardens. Maybe discuss how UCC is 
working for us and what we want to do in the future?
Also, at this year's SB Festival Sept 27th & 28th,as part of our Urban 
Farm area we will have a UCC Garden Tent.
I am envisioning a gardenishly decorated 10x20 tent with a circle of 
chairs around a coffee table full of gardening books, hot cider, 
scheduled presenters on a variety of garden topics with lots of time to 
hang out and share info with each other, a board for folks interested 
in garden sharing to leave  'have garden space' 'need garden space' 
notes for each other? post inspiring photos of their gardens? And? 
Perhaps we can spend some time discussing and deciding what else we 
want to include.

to expect.
We'll miss you Rhonda and hope you'll be having a great time in Costa 
Rica.
