[UrbanCropCircle] problems with the UCC email list

I'm finding myself fast contemplating removing myself from the Urban 
Crop Circles list.  And I can boil my issues with the list down to two 
simple things:

1) Is it possible for the list to not create digests every one or two 
messages?  Most lists where I read by digest-mode send one or two 
digests per day at most.  Sending me four digests a day seems silly, 
especially as they are extremely sparse.

2) Can we ask list members to practice some common list etiquette and 
trim their replies down to just what is necessary?  Hitting reply on 
what has grown to a series of replies and leaving in extraneous 
footers, email headers and previous email comments that are now 
unnecessary only winds up making the exchanges into a big mess.
