**Dear Fellow Gardeners:
Urban Crop Circles met tonight at Ingela's house. Seattle Tilth
horticulturist Amy Ocklander gave us a great presentation on seeds.
She talked about the importance of heirloom seeds, how plants are
pollinated, how to keep vegetable plants from cross-pollinating,
and how to save seeds from your veggie garden. Amy brought many seeds to
share, as did some of the members of the group.
She highly recommends this book:

Those present indicated an interest in hearing about winter gardens at our
next meeting. We neglected to set
a location for next month's meeting. Would somebody be willing to host Urban
Crop Circles on October 5,
the first Monday in October? Please email me if you can act as next month's
host.
Thanks,
Susan Helf
