Gardeners,

Is there interest in helping to manage a plot that would grow food as a donation? If so, let me know and I will take it from there.

Ingela and Rhonda,

Do you think that your guild members would
be interested in helping work on creating a new p-patch in West Woodland/Ballard
at 3rd NW and NW 55th? See below for an email
Suzanne and I got because we have a plot at the Phinney Ridge patch. It
is intended as a food for donation purposes garden.

I’ll send this to the Food Guild to
see if there is energy there. Let me know if you contact Bill Farmer, so
I’m in the loop. Thanks,

Hello All,

You’re getting this message
because you are waiting for or already have a plot in the Phinney Ridge
 P-Patch Community
 Garden. There
is some interest in the neighborhood in starting a new garden to grow food for
donation. If you are interested in that idea, please read below for more
details about the project and how to get involved.

Thanks for your time!

Dear
Phinney P-Patch Gardeners and Waitlisters,

The
Parks & Green Spaces Levy Opportunity Fund provides the possibility of
adding more P-Patch gardens in Seattle
and I’ve been eyeing the property down the street from your spot. The
triangle parcel at NW 55th and 3rd Ave NW is already owned by
Seattle Parks and there are no current plans for the site. I think it would
make a great garden spot with good views and lots of sunshine. I’ve
kicked this idea around with some Phinney Ridge neighborhood folks and the idea
was proposed that it be a community giving garden. I also understand that there
is currently a long waiting list for the Phinney P-Patch. So, would like to get
some feedback from the likeliest people (you local gardeners) to take this up.
Preliminary project proposal letters for the Opportunity Fund are due to Parks
by February 1st, so not a whole lot of time to act on this. The next
round for the Opportunity Fund is not for two more years. Sound interesting?
Feel free to send me an email with your thoughts.

Regards,

Bill
Farmer
