Hello gardeners
This afternoon I met again with Creagh Miller and Jenny Heins to talk about her project and how it will probably become a project of Sustainable Ballard.
She would like to develop a Ballard Garden exchange web site where all things garden/food related could be bartered ex. tools, seeds, starts, space, produce, canned goods. To this end she is applying for a grant from the Dept of Neighborhoods and is seeking interested parties who want to be on a steering committee.
I have agreed to be a member and would like to invite any of you to join. Please reply directly to me at pjjenson1 at hotmail.com.
thanks...paula jenson

Subject: [UrbanCropCircle] source of free leaves
Dear fellow gardeners,
Through an ad on Craigslist, I found a landscaper with lots of free leaves to give away.
He dumped about five yards of leaves in my driveway tonight. I will feed the leaves
to my compost bins.
If you'd like free leaves delivered to your garden to use for mulching or composting,
call Steve at (360) 500-9988. He and his wife are starting a sheep farm this spring on 40 acres of land
south of Olympia.
Susan
