My little garden has one huge tromboncini squash waiting to be picked and cooked this weekend, with little leeks trying to grow to be big leeks and lots of kale, collards and bok choy.  How is your garden?

The next get-together of the Urban Crop Circle is Monday, October 5th at the Loyal Heights Community Center!

Join us for Education Hour, when Don Hennick will talk about Bio Char, a way of reclaiming lost carbon.  You may have seen their booth at the Sustainable Ballard Festival this last weekend.  In addition, we'll catch up on garden talk and answer your questions.  

I'm hoping to have some time to talk about extending the growing season and planting winter vegetables.  This is the time of year I imagine having a greenhouse!

Urban Crop Circle Schedule:

6:15   Setup
6:30   Arrivals and introductions
7:00   Don Hennick talks on Bio-Char and answers questions
7:50   Break
8:00   Garden Talk
8:30 or thereabouts:  Clean Up
