[UrbanCropCircle] Worm bin construction party on Saturday the 30th

Interested in making a worm bin? I have some wood and worms. Do you
have some elbow grease?

I know it's short notice, but a few planets just aligned, and it looks
like Saturday (yes, this Saturday, May 30th) would be a good day for
it, say 11:00-ish - 2:00-ish.

I completed my worm bin for under $10, and I'm hooked. The most
expensive part was a $3.50 digging trowel. The rest was scavenged or
purchased on the cheap at REstore. I like the idea of worms recycling
our kitchen scraps in a container that was, in turn, recycled/reused
and otherwise destined for the dump.

What I already have:
  - scrap plywood & lumber
  - construction plans
  - tools
  - paint
  - nails & screws
  - a lawn to build on
  - experience building a worm bin
  - experience running a worm bin

What we need:
  - more 2x2 and 2x4 lumber
  - hinges
  - nails & screws
  - folks who are interested in building and running a worm bin -- in
a word, "you"

This is an "all ages" event, so come one, come all. It'll be a
gardening/art/craft/family/community/barn-raising event to write home
about.

Please let me know if you're interested (even if you can't make this
date).

Wigglingly yours,
Michael

P.S. If you have some more elbow grease, and would like to be on the
"provisioning committee" I know of some shelves that could be
deconstructed to make 3-4 more bins. We'd need to deconstruct some
shelves at a store on Market Street. If you're interested in a
"deconstruction party" before the "construction party", let me know.
We could do it on Thursday, Friday, or even Saturday morning. I'm
flexible, and so is the site.
