At Ingela's suggestion, I am forwarding this to the list to see if there is interest in helping out.
Thanks!
Jean

Subject: Nickelsville is starting a garden
Hi Co-Horts,
I visited Nickelsville on Wednesday and found that they want to start a garden!
The woman I spoke with, Crystal, is leading the effort, currently she is collecting cardboard boxes and cutting them up with scissors and laying them on the ground as mulch. She's covered maybe 20% of a 9x13' plot this way.
I would like to find someone with a truck who would be willing to take some cardboard down to them to complete the mulching. They have no source of running water so plan to use the waste water from the hand washing station to wet down the cardboard.
I can haul water to them but my car is too small to carry much cardboard.
They have someone who is willing to donate plant starts which is wonderful but the soil at their location is very poor.
Do you think some of the Urban Crop Circle folks would be interested in making a field trip to Nickelsville to see how we can help them with their garden? Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Jean
