Great News:  The Hands-On Composting class taught by Master Composter JJ Jacoby at the Seattle Tilth Demonstration Garden is on! 

JJ has been building compost piles for many years as well as turning her entire lawn into a garden with sheet composting!  JJ will lead us in a hands-on class to build compost.  We will mix materials for a new compost pile learning all of the components to hot compost. We'll learn what to use and what NOT to use for compost, and get tips from an expert.

    All tools are provided.  Just be dressed for the outdoors. The price is a Thank You to Seattle Tilth, and/or any in-kind donation you see fit.

    Oh!  One more important thing!  The 4th Annual Sustainable Ballard Festival is coming up Sept 29-30th and there is talk of the Urban Crop Circle having a booth there.   Do you have any ideas for a cool gardening-related booth at the festival?  Something unique?
