Hi everyone-
The authors of Plenty: One Man, One Woman and a Raucous Year of
Eating Locally will be in Seattle on June 20th!
Much of these Vancouverites' education while undertaking the 100 Mile
Diet has been about learning what grows and what they can grow in
this region. I have been in touch with them and asked if they would
be willing to have a special meeting with Sustainable Ballard, and
they have replied that they would be happy to do that. If enough of
you are interested in this opportunity (probably earlier in the day
on July 20th), I will arrange the meeting. Please let me know your
interest.
I also encourage you to support them at their talk in the evening -
theirs is a fascinating story:
Alisa Smith and JB MacKinnon will be at the Lake Forest Park Library
(in the Town Center under 3rd Place Books, 17171 Bothell Way NE) on
July 20 at 5:30 for a reading and signing, and visiting the Lake
Forest Park Sunday Farmer's Market before hand. The book is
available at 20% off from 3rd Place Books in June, July & Aug.
