growing, this time of year offers.<span style="">
</span>Missing our monthly exchanges, I have been involved in several new
growing adventures.<span style=""> </span>Please note and
think about participation, I would love to see and barter with you all.</p><p class="ecxMsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>From <b>Sustainable
Ballard</b></p><p class="ecxMsoNormal"> </p><p class="ecxMsoNormal">Our next monthly gathering is our <b>Spring Barter Fair</b> where
all things spring, garden and food will be bartered.<span style=""> </span>Seedlings, pots, plants, perennial divisions,
weeding- time, food, bouquets, canned goods etc. Also any white elephants in
your closets, or things to share.<span style=""> </span>Come
meet your neighbors and see what the deals may be!</p><p class="ecxMsoNormal" style="text-align: center;" align="center">There will also be a
presentation by the newly funded <b>Backyard Barter </b>folks whose web site is about
to be launched to keep the sense of community barter alive all year long!

</div><p class="ecxMsoNormal"> Then in June:<br></p><p class="ecxMsoNormal"><b>Third Annual Edible Garden Tour </b></p><p class="ecxMsoNormal">June 25th 10-3 </p><p class="ecxMsoNormal" style="">Starting from the Ballard Community
Center</p><p class="ecxMsoNormal">This year’s tour will explore all possibilities of edible
endeavors in the SW quadrant of Ballard.<span style="">
</span>Starting at the Ballard Community Center the walkable route will take participants by planted parking strips, raised beds, container plantings, chickens,
bees, water collection/diversion sites, all to admire and inspire. Ticket/maps are
$10 each, kids free.<span style=""> </span></p><p class="ecxMsoNormal">For this tour I am the garden scout and am still looking for
more gardens in the area (south of 65<sup>th</sup> and west of 26<sup>th</sup>).<span style=""> </span>If you know of a site please let me
hear.<span style=""> </span>Also for this we need volunteers
to help with support of participants who do get a basket of goodies and offers
to help weed depending on #’s, distribution of posters around Ballard starting
