Rhonda,
Please send this out to your mailing list:

Dibspace.com is an online barter system. Small businesses (which can be anybody) list the goods or services they want to trade for dibs. Each dib is worth one dollar. Others people bid on the offers and the parties make an invoice. After the goods are transferred or the service is performed, the person doing the work gets the number of dibs agreed upon.

You can get everything from landscaping to massage, to acupuncture, to car repair, to haircuts on dibspace. You can also make up a business name and offer any goods or services you want.

One of the strengths of dibspace is that you seldom barter straight across with someone. You amass dibs and then use them to buy goods or services. I am repairing two old quilts. As soon as I get enough dibs, I want to find somebody to build a chicken coop for me.

Here's the link: https://dibspace.com/

Thanks,

Susan Helf

On Mon, Jun 15, 2009 at 1:07 PM, <urbancropcircle-request@lists.sustainableballard.org> wrote:
